 Every summer, thousands of coaches and athletes participate in FCA's National Summer Camps. Over 40 different sites are used as a backdrop to spiritually enrich and athletically challenge campers.
Camps are a time of "inspiration and perspiration" for athletes and coaches to reach their potential by offering comprehensive athletic, spiritual and leadership training. The types of Camps are Sports Camp, Leadership Camp, Coaches Camp, Team Camp, Youth Sports Camp and Partnership Camp.
Each attendee will experience unbelievable fun, outstanding sports training, awesome speaker, incredible friendships and life change. Sports Camp is for athletes and coaches who want to develop their skill in sports. Outstanding instructional skill development and intense competition prepare the camper for future athletic competition.
Sports Camp includes Sport-Specific Camps in which the camper selects one sport for the entire Camp experience, Multi-Sport Camps in which the camper is trained and competes in a variety of sports, and Team Camps in which school teams attend to improve as a whole team. Leadership Camp is for student-athletes, Huddle Coaches and volunteers who serve as leaders on their local campus. The Camp focuses on teaching practical skills for personal Christian growth as well as developing the attendees as effective campus ministry leaders who are trained and equipped for spiritual, organizational and motivational leadership. (Locations close to Iowa are Olathe, KS, Hannibal, MO, and St. Paul, MN. Other locations are also available this summer).
Coaches Camp is for single and married coaches and their families and is designed to minister, equip and encourage them to know and serve Christ among their teams and on their campuses. FCA Camp provides an opportunity for ministry to coaches through Bible studies, small groups, fellowship, prayer support, discipleship, mentoring and coaching enhancement. Team Camp are designed to impact coaches and athletes for Christ through team competition. Coaches enroll their players to attend camp as a team. It is a great outreach opportunity and coaches benefit greatly by evaluating their team’s talent. Team Camps serve the coaches by providing a great camp experience for their players while building team unity. (Locations available this summer).
Youth Sports Camp, known as Power Camp, is for young athletes ages 8 –12 who want to develop their skills in sports. The goal is to reach athletes at an earlier age and provide instruction and competition through either sports-specific or multi-sport focus. These Camps are normally day Camps that involve the local community and church; however, they also can be done as an overnight Camp experience. (Locations in your area this summer).
Partnership Camp is a Camp where FCA develops a relationship with an existing Camp to provide a spiritual and/or sports program. This can include FCA Camp curriculum, FCA resources, speakers, “One Way 2 Play” program, Huddle meetings, and staff. FCA joins with the camp as a co-sponsor to develop the spiritual and athletic components of the camp.
