Illowa FCA Welcomes Teammate, Dan Pearson
Dan Pearson joined the Illowa FCA Staff in August 2011. After 29 years as a television sports journalist, 24 in the Quad Cities television market, Dan combines ministry and journalism as an Illowa FCA Co-Director.
Among his duties, Dan will produce video reports on area athletes and coaches which can be viewed at www.illowafca.org. This will be part of his responsibilities with FCA. He will serve current Illowa FCA Huddles and help create new ones. He will help equip and enable Huddle coaches and student leaders to present the Gospel message and disciple FCA participants. Dan has eleven years of experience as a huddle coach in Geneseo, IL as he enters full time ministry. That commitment to serving Christ brings momentum as an Co-Director.
Dan was the first Quad City journalist to win a regional Emmy Award. His work on the popular KWQC "Highlight Zone" was one of many broadcast awards in his career. The relationships already built with hundreds of area coaches and athletes through his work in broadcasting is an obvious plus as he follows God's call to the FCA ministry.
Dan and his wife Gina live in Geneseo where Gina is a Kindergarten teacher. They have two grown daughters, Amanda and Katie, who were both active in FCA during their high school years.
